Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties

Today is the day to let the dig begin. To attain the desires of your heart you must first and foremost let God in! If you do not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ please take a moment and go to the “Seeking a Savior” page before you continue reading.

Let me begin by saying, opening your heart is not easy! We all have experienced judgement, broken trust, and deep hurt. We naturally build barriers around the inner places of our heart. Some of us have years of building under our belt and the walls tower dangerously high. The good news is that God already knows what is inside those walls and He loves us still. We are fully known and fully loved even when we choose not to fully open ourselves to Him.

Allowing God to gain access to our heart is not so that He may see and know, but that He may reveal to us the things that we have buried. Yikes! Do I really want to see what is buried deep inside? If you desire to have healing, grow deeper in your relationship with the Lord, and live a joy filled life; then the answer is YES!

Take a moment to pray: Dear Lord, Today I am surrendering to your call to begin an excavation in my heart. Break down every wall and dig up every secret, sin, hurt, regret, and lie. I desire to be fully open and honest with you today! I know that I will not like everything you find and will likely be resistant to this journey, however let your Spirit draw me down this challenging path into Your Will. Thank you Lord for the loving work you have already begun today. Amen
